This year we will be using a completely online recharter system called Internet Recharter V2.0. This new system is located at advancement.scouting.org. A representative of each unit serving as the unit's renewal processor can now complete the paperwork for renewing a charter online. This representative must be one of the unit's following positions: Key 3 (Committee Chair, Charter Organization Representative, Unit Leader) or Key 3 delegate. From Internet Rechartering V2.0, you can indicate returning members, add new members and update information for an individual or the chartered organization. You will be able to upload documents such as Applications, Additional Disclosure and Background Check Authorization, Youth Protection Training Certificate, etc. This recharter can be done entirely online including all signatures and even payment can be made online (surcharges may apply). Please begin by clicking the button at the bottom of this page for your unit’s specific Scouting Program. Here you will see BSA Required Documents and Important Notices. Please ensure all BSA Required Documents are completed for submission. You may submit the recharter electronically and email the council specific forms directly to your Unit Commissioner and District Professional. Payment for recharter can be made online (surcharges may apply), with your District Professional or at the Schapiro Scout Center. The deadline for recharter submission is December 1st, 2021.
