VSP 101
Here's Venturing
Provides an introduction to the mission of Venturing (including Sea Scouts), its methods, and unique place in the Boy Scouts of America.

VSP 102
Venturing Leadership and Organization
Explains and discusses Venturing's organizational structure and adult and youth leadership positions. Includes Sea Scout Ship counterparts to a Venturing Crew.

VSP 103
Venturing Awards and Recognition
Describes Venturing awards and recognitions and their unique features. Covers both youth and adult Venturing awards and recognitions. Provides a basic understanding of how an effective awards and recognition program contributes to the healthy progression of youth Venturing and Sea Scouts.

VSP 104
Venturing Resources and Program Planning
Describes how to use Venturing literature and resources to plan an exciting crew/ship program. Covers how to use the Program Capability Inventory, Venturing Activity Interest Survey, and good 'ole brainstorming to develop an Annual Program Plan and a Five-Month plan. Explains the importance of an effective youth-adult leadership team in having successful crew/ship activities.

VSP 105 (2 Hours)
Understanding and Protecting Venturing Youth
Provides a basic understanding of the characteristics of Venturing-age youth. Explains the safety and youth protection policies applicable to Venturing.

VSP 106
Venturing Youth Leadership Development
Youth leadership development is not a "nice to do if you have time" activity in Venturing/Sea Scouting. It is one of the key objectives of the program. This course explains the components of an effective Youth Leadership Development Program and the critical role of the Crew advisor/Skipper in youth leadership development. It describes Venturing/Sea Scouting youth leadership training programs and opportunities at the unit, council, regional, and national levels.

VSP 302A
Sea Scouting
Provide for the attendees’ an overview of Scouting’s famous maritime arm. Discuss ways of promotional partnerships between Sea Scout Ships and Venture Crews or Venturing Patrols at the Unit, District and Council.

VSP 309A (2 Hours)
Outdoor Considerations for Female Ventures and Leaders
Wilderness High Adventure trips for Co - Ed Groups can provide some unique challenges everyone. This course discusses female outdoor needs and issues that male adult leaders should prepare for when conducting wilderness high adventure trips for Co-ed groups.

History of Older Youth Programs
To honor 100 years of Scouting, we present a History of Older Youth Programs, including Explorers, Sea Scouts and Venturing. Learn where we have been, so that you may help envision and define our future.

VSP 305
The Venturing Officers Association
Provide an overview of the purpose and organization of Venturing Teen Council, and Venturing Officer’s Association in the Baltimore Area Council and other Councils. Explanation of support and participating in District and Council - level Venturing Officers’ Association is presented by the current VOA Officers and adult VOA Advisor.

VSP 306
Venturing Youth Panel Discussion
A forum for direct discussion with Venture Youth and attendees to learn about their concerns and their positive aspects of the program. Learn why youth are interested in Venturing directly for a panel of active youth.
