National Pike District Roundtables

During the COVID-19 time period we are planning a joint "Virtual Roundtable" for all programs at which we will 1) provide an overall update on Scouting's policies related to operating under the current restrictions (e.g., advancement issues, merit badges, SM conferences, leadership requirement implications, camping / activities with groups, etc.), 2) outline ideas for Virtual Scouting, and  3) provide time for Q&A. It is critical to let our Units know what is coming down the pike and that we are thinking about the importance of keeping our youth engaged during this unique and stressful time for everyone.  Scouting activities may just provide a critical (and very productive) set of activities to keep our youth focused and entertained while cooped up at home.

Connection information will be emailed during the week before Roundtable.

What:
Cub Scout Roundtable, Scouts BSA Roundtable, and Venturing/Sea Scout Forum
District Venturing Officer's Association (DVOA) Meetings

When:  the second Monday of each month at 7:30 PM
Note that there is usually no July meeting, and in May the Roundtable meetings may be held at the Program Launch event which is usually at a different venue. Please refer to the calendar for exact dates and venues.

Where:  Columbia Academy Elementary School, 10350 Old Columbia Road, Columbia, MD

Roundtables are great adult fun and good preparation time for your Scouting activities. We share ideas, answer questions, and get the latest on fun activities for our Scouts and adults.  We try the songs and ceremonies, and get the latest announcements. Most valuable of all, Roundtable is a welcome place for leaders to share experiences and to pick up new ideas.
