Become a Volunteer

Your time and talents can support young people through Scouting. There are two main volunteer tracks:

Volunteer positions vary greatly in the amount of time necessary, ranging from several hours each week to a few hours per year.  Opportunities are available year-round.

Scouting volunteers are offered leadership and skills training, access to a vast library of helpful literature and a support network of fellow leaders and full-time Scouting professionals. To volunteer:

  • Review the types of Scouting positions, brief descriptions and average time commitments for each
  • Select the one(s) of most interest
  • Contact the related staff member or volunteer. Names, phone numbers and email addresses are listed.

Since youth member safely is our primary concern, all volunteers go through an application process that includes a criminal background check requiring a social security number.
