New to Scouting

Scouting offers a range of age specific programs designed for boys from 6 to 21 and girls from 14 to 21. All feature a learning by doing approach, offering fun and adventure as members build leadership, teamwork, physical/mental fitness, and a spirit of service/duty, helping them grow into competent, caring, adults of good character.

Members can start at any level; no prior experience is required. The council's membership is comprised of youth and adults representing all racial, ethnic, religious, and socioeconomic backgrounds, physical and mental abilities, and educational experiences.

Start your journey now and follow the helpful links below to help you and your child become active in Scouting in the Baltimore Area Council.  If at any time you have a question, you can call our Help Desk during normal business hours Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM at 443-573-2525 or Click to Email.
