A message from Your Baltimore Area Council Jamboree Contingent Leadership Team:
There are two steps that must be taken to register youth for the 2017 National Jamboree.
First, on the Baltimore Area Council website, you will need to set up a Doubleknot Account if you don’t already have one (usually a parent account). All Jamboree payments are through the Council, using the Doubleknot “cart” for on-line processing. The initial deposit increases depending on when the registration takes place (the total amount remains at $1,525).
Second, apply on the National Jamboree site. The application must be through a youth My.Scouting.org account. The site will walk you through setting up a Scout My.Scouting.org account if your youth doesn’t have one (National Jamboree application may not be done with a parent account.) You will need your youth’s BSA number.
What is a National Jamboree?
Jamborees are one of the Boy Scouts of America coolest tradition. They have been around since 1937, and they just get better every four years. Some of the adventures include kayaking, rock climbing & bouldering, whitewater rafting, mountain biking, stand-up paddle-boarding, action archery, shotgun, black power. Cross bows will be introduced for the first time. There is also a huge Merit Badge selection.
